Conflict Resolution and Mediation Services
CVVC’s mediators support people in resolving conflict, and building and restoring relationships, through its conflict resolution and mediation services. If you would like assistance with resolving a conflict, CVVC’s trained mediators are available to assist individuals, families, and groups communicate their differences constructively in order to resolve conflicts peacefully.
The process of mediation is voluntary. People involved in a conflict sit down and talk to each other face to face. They are supported in their dialogue by trained mediators who are impartial. It is up to the participants to decide what problems are to be resolved and what kind of agreement, if any, is to be made.
Trainings on Conflict Resolution and Mediation teach skills crucial to managing and resolving conflicts. These trainings, open to individuals in the community, are offered three times a year, in the spring, summer and fall. Customized trainings in conflict resolution, mediation and related topics are also offered year round to organizations, educational settings, faith based entities, government entities, medical establishments and many other interested groups.
