Dr. Sturtevant has committed her personal and professional life to improving the quality of life for children and acting as a voice for those unable to speak for themselves. Dr. Sturtevant will discuss the disproportionate number of African-American children involved in the child welfare system and introduce a new CYF initiative, Inua Ubuntu (which means--Lift up, I am because we are,) geared to promoting resolution and healing in the lives of children and their communities.
